Installation is also a bit trickier, as HID kits come with a couple of ballasts and starter motors that need to be strategically placed in the engine compartment. However, although HIDs are more expensive and more complex, they are designed to last longer than halogen bulbs. In some cases, the factory HID is designed to extend the life of the vehicle.
However, if you’re considering upgrading to LED headlights, there are a few things to keep in mind. Although the diodes themselves emit a lot of light, they do not generate too much heat, but the same cannot be said for the electrical units under the bulb. It can get hot enough to melt electrical cables and fittings under the hood.

Light bulbs need fans, heaters, or both to generate heat. It also makes it difficult to fit the right set of headlights in your car.
Don’t be dangerous by using headlights that are too bright, at the wrong angle and blind other drivers!
That said, don’t buy cheap HID or LED lights. The wastebasket is sold on Ebay and Amazon. These kits will not last long, blind other drivers, cause electrical problems and may be illegal.
