Crafts With Popsicle Sticks And Yarn
My kids love making popsicle stick crafts and use them for Christmas crafts because they make great decorations.
Easy Wreath Popsicle Stick Crafts For Kids
From fairies to ninjas to yarn-wrapped dolls, coming up with ideas won’t be a challenge for them. Give them a few dozen popsicle sticks and they’ll be buried in creativity for hours at a time.
Plus, you can decorate them in a number of ways (paint, chalk markers, fabric, even thread) which is a definite bonus.
Also, they come in different sizes and colors. We usually pick up our bars at the dollar store – they carry regular and jumbo (large) sizes there. Check out your store!
If you’re not near a dollar store, you can find bulk popsicle sticks for a few bucks at Michaels or Hobby Lobby. You can also check your local Walmart or Target as they may have them as well.
Popsicle Stick Wizard Hat W/yarn Beard
This yarn angel popsicle stick craft combines simple popsicle sticks with white and yellow yarn to create a beautiful angel. All you need to complete this project is a heat gun, scissors and 2 markers.
When you’re done, you can turn them into ornaments to hang on the Christmas tree or in your home. Or, your children can give gifts to family or friends. They would be great for a Sunday school teacher!
Follow the step-by-step tutorial above or watch the video. Look at those little hands because there’s a bunch of glue in there. Help the little ones with the glue gun to avoid everything.
When you’re done, take a picture and tag us on Instagram at @. We’d love to see your creations! The child likes to play with the 4 string. Many of our favorite activities and crafts are covered in yarn. Earlier this year we made a cute yarn wrapped heart and my daughter loved it.

She loves yarn because she likes to unravel it and cut it, and I love it because it’s great for her motor skills.
This craft is fun to play with after you’re done, at least my daughter thought so.
Break two regular-sized bars in half. This will give you 4 pieces. Use a glue gun to glue the four pieces onto the jumbo stick for the arms and legs. (Be careful when working with the glue stick.)
My daughter wanted the doll to have a skirt, so we broke out 2 regular sticks and used 3 skirt pieces to make a skirt triangle.
Paper Plate & Yarn Pumpkin
If you have a girl, I recommend leaving the legs out, but she wants me to add a skirt to the patterns above.
We all wrapped our spoons in different colored threads. She worked on her girl & I worked on making a boy. My daughter had so much fun wrapping the doll and cutting the yarn. When it finally stops she needs a little help,
She drew a face and hair on her little mom and added two buttons with glue.
I wrapped another finger a few times, then pulled the thread from my finger and glued it over the doll, although they were all bent. I added the cute eyes and drew the nose & mouth and then drew the shirt button.
