Now I think I need a bigger bike What is the best place to sell or trade? I updated the comfortable driver seat and changed the exhaust cover and cap from chrome to black It is in showroom condition with no scratches or blemishes MSRP is 13399 plus tax and dealer fees etc. ($15877 total). If I can get a good price around 15,000 I can trade or else I can ride because this bike is fun. Do you think this is realistic? Your help is appreciated

You will always get very few trades They have to clean it, paper it and catalog it while they can keep it for a few months So it depends on how badly the dealer wants that particular bike, and if there is a backlog of people waiting for them. I went to change the bike this year and the guy said he could give me a good price if he could keep it for 24 hours and show two people. One of them really wanted it and he gave me about 1200 because there was no risk on his part, he was going to sell it immediately.

Then they handle the money and escrow etc. and you get paid when the title is transferred I’ve done it once on a bike I had trouble selling (low demand in the US for this particular bike).

Personally, the way I price bikes, I look at the price and the retail price and then set my price a little below retail. That way, I get more than I would for a trade-in, and the buyer gets a better price than they would get from the dealer.
