A Car Originally Costs 20000 – Hyundai has confirmed that it has joined the race to launch a new small electric car priced under $20,000. However, it seems that only the European market will have access to it.
One of the biggest complaints about electric cars remains the cost. Most clients cannot understand them even with help.

In fact, most new cars are not a smart purchase for most people and EVs are following the new car market. But there are also reasons why many automakers have entered the EV space from more expensive segments, making electric cars more expensive.
How To Buy A Car In 2022
There aren’t many options for an electric car under $20,000. Some automakers have announced they are working on this platform, such as Volkswagen with its ID Life program, which the German automaker says costs less than $25,000.
At the Automotive News Europe Congress in Prague, Andreas-Christoph Hoffmann, head of sales for Hyundai Motor Europe, confirmed that the Korean manufacturer is working on an entry-level electric vehicle for the European market.
However, Hoffmann said that the future of electric cars will only be for Europe. It said it aims to replace the Hyundai i10, a small four-door hatchback that the brand sells in Europe, India and Latin countries. The new electric version aims to help Hyundai maintain its market share in Europe as regulations force them to switch to electric vehicles.
The same rules aren’t as strong in North America, where there isn’t a big market for small cars, electric or not. Many automakers have decided not to sell some of their small city EVs, including Honda’s Honda E, in the US.

Automaker startup Lucid Motors has announced that it will raise the price of its Air sedan, citing rising raw material costs and global supply chain issues. Lucid said existing subscription holders will have the opportunity to order the Air EV at the price indicated when reserving it. The price adjustment will start from June 1, and interested customers can still make reservations at the current prices before the end of this month.
The entry-level Air Pure sees a price increase of $10,150 to $89,050, while stepping up to the Air Touring costs you $109,050, which is $12,550 more than the base price. The biggest price increase is for the Air Grand Touring, which starts at $155,650, a full $15,150 more than previously listed. Interestingly, the Grand Touring Performance – the current top-of-the-line model for which the Dream Edition is sold – is only slightly more expensive at $180,650 than the $150 higher price tag.
Lucid Air began production last fall and has delivered 360 vehicles so far in 2022. The company says it has more than 30,000 pre-orders and will produce between 12,000 and 14,000 by 2022. Plans to build Lucid’s original. 20,000 Air sedans in 2022, but withdrew its estimate earlier this year.

Like everything else, new cars are more expensive these days, which makes it difficult to find a car that won’t break the bank. However, Kia offers affordable cars and SUVs. Here are four with starting prices (MSRP) under $20,000:
Affordable Kia Models That Cost Under $20,000
The 2023 Kia Rio subcompact is Kia’s most affordable new model — and the most affordable new car for any brand. Starting at $16,550 MSRP for the Rio sedan and $17,490 MSRP for the Rio hatchback. Many of the Rio’s subcompact competitors have been discontinued in the U.S. — such as the Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit and Chevy Spark — as consumers increasingly favor crossover SUVs. However, the Rio still stands – to the benefit of drivers on a budget.
Along with its affordable price, the Rio has plenty of standard features, great fuel economy and a great ride. Although the Rio leaves a lot to be desired for performance with its small 120-hp inline-four engine, it’s easy to drive.
Another Kia model that costs less than $20,000 is the 2023 Kia Forte compact sedan, which starts at $19,490 MSRP. For car buyers looking to get “bang for their buck”, the Forte is a great choice. It has attractive exterior design, high economy, easy-to-use infotainment system and roomy rooms for its class. Also, even for the base trim, the Forte has standard features.
The only new Kia SUV under $20,000 is the 2023 Kia Soul subcompact crossover SUV, which starts at $19,790 MSRP. If you want an SUV that stands out from the crowd, the Soul is for you, with its unique shape and massive grille. Other highlights of the Soul include its excellent handling, ample passenger and cargo space and useful technology. Plus, like the other Kia models on this list, the Soul is a value-based choice with standard features.
